HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOUR SERVICES?
We try to be as flexible as we possibly can with bookings in advance. We suggest that you book as soon as you know we are the right fit for you. That is because we only take on a limited amount of weddings each year to ensure we have more time to spend focusing on our couples and crafting the video of their dreams.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FINISH EDITING OUR VIDEO?
Between 4-16 weeks. We totally understand the immediate desire to want to re-live this phenomenal occasion which is why we offer teasers and express edits. However; we believe the main film we are making for you will become an irreplaceable piece of your family history; thus overshadowing the wait. This worth is clearly demonstrated based on our clients' testimonials.
CAN I HELP PICK THE MUSIC FOR THE VIDEO?
Unfortunately, we can no longer offer our couples the opportunity to choose their own music. This is because we aim to avoid copyright strikes and lawsuits from the use of music we do not rightfully or legally own. If you are able to provide us with written consent/permission for copy-written music, we would be more than happy to make accommodations. Otherwise, we use a music bank of license instrumentals and song tracks.
CAN WE MAKE CHANGES TO THE FINAL VIDEO?
We allow minor changes to the film within a reasonable request. If we have made any mistakes or omitted edits that were discussed ahead of time - we are more than happy to fix them. For any major editorial requests, there will be a charge to do so. This isn't meant to be a deterrent, but film-making is a painstaking creative process that requires a considerable amount of professional time. What might seem to be an easy fix, could cause hours/days of re-editing time.
I'M REALLY INTERESTED IN BOOKING, BUT WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE NOT IN MY AREA?
The globe is our office and we get excited for every inquiry we receive, wondering where the next love story will take us. Travel fees can sometimes be a headache for couples. Therefore, we aim to make the process as smooth as we can. We only charge additional fees for destination/cross-country weddings. Otherwise, we will only require you to pay the all-inclusive rate of our collections and all other expenses will be covered by our company.
WHAT IS FILMED VERSUS WHAT ENDS UP IN MY ACTUAL VIDEO?
All of what you request will be filmed minus any unnecessary occurrences. However, when we edit your video, we aim to include only the best moments. Normally, roughly 1 hour of raw footage will equate to only about 1-2 minutes of edited footage. This is why some of our highlight films are short and sweet while others are a bit lengthy. The more footage we have, the more we have to choose from to make the film longer.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CEREMONY AND RECEPTION IS IN A DIFFERENT LOCATION?
Wedding ceremonies and receptions being in two different locations have actually become very popular in the industry. With that being said, we are more than familiar with traveling to multiple locations. We always arrive up to an hour before the contracted time to make sure that we are familiar with each location. Travel between the two is no problem, as long as discussed in advance within a reasonable radius.
HOW WILL I GET MY VIDEO WHEN IT IS FINISHED?
When we inform you that your film(s) are complete, we will deliver highlights/teasers via temporary downloadable links that would be available on the link for 2-3 weeks after delivery. These links are perfect for easy sharing with friends and family. Full-length videos as well as raw footage depending on the collection, will be placed on a flash drive and safely sent to your address by mail.
HOW MUCH IS REQUIRED FOR A DEPOSIT?
Most of our couples pay in full. But, we require a 50% deposit/retainer that is due at the time of booking. This includes a digital agreement. We do offer multiple payment plans in which you could make payments and book with a 30% deposit to save the date. Our retainers ensure that your date is secure and allows us to make the necessary arrangements to clear our schedules about 1-2 days for your big event!
WHEN IS THE FINAL BALANCE DUE?
The remaining balance of your chosen collection is due 30 days before your event. If the remaining balance is not paid by the required deadline, we do charge a 6% late fee. If we film your wedding having not received the final balance, videos will not be released until the balance owed is taken care of. Any issues with payment should be discussed with us as soon as they arrive in order to prevent a breach in contract.
DO YOU WORK WITH ALL BUDGETS?
Unfortunately, based on our current production value, we are unable to work with all budgets. However; we do try to be flexible. So, feel free to reach out to us so we can chat about your needs. We do have a 3-bride selection offer twice a year which will run for a limited time. This is affiliated with our FREE + TRAVEL collection that we use to give back to couples with smaller budgets and pad our portfolio in the process.
CAN I REVIEW THE VIDEO BEFORE IT’S FINALIZED?
Unfortunately, raw footage is typically in a jumble until it is all crafted together. Asking for a preview is similar to asking your photographer for raw-unedited photos. With that being said, depending on your collection- we try to get you your teaser right away which will build up the healthy anticipation for the main edit. We are grateful for every couple that signs on the dotted lines of our contracts because we understand how much trust you place in us.
HOW DO YOU EDIT OUR VIDEO?
We shoot and edit using cinematic, short film techniques. Our main focus is to tell your love story in a high quality manor with clear audio. We want you to have the desire to watch your wedding video over and over again which is why we include the best moments. This isn't a day you get to do over, so we edit it to be the most memorable and unforgettable keepsake of the day you were joined together with your spouse forever.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE TAPED AT THE SALON FOR GETTING READY?
If you are planning on getting ready at a beauty/hair salon, it is imperative that you check beforehand to see what their policies are on having video cameras in their business. This is to make sure that on your big day, there are no surprises in regards to whethere or not they will allow such happenings in their building. Whatever we have permission to do, we will be sure to accommodate.
IS IT POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE TO BE FILMED AT THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?
No, it is impossible to guarantee that everyone will be included in the film. As a general rule, we try to film as many guests as possible with our focus being the coverage you request and you as a couple. If you wanted to make sure that a certain guest(s) be filmed, please notify us in advance so that we can keep it in our notes for the day. We always want to deliver a film that makes you proud to re-watch and share.
HOW LONG DO YOU WORK WITH ME ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING?
We currently have four collections. Our smallest being 4 hours and our largest being 10-12 hours. Even though our collections have specific time frames, we are always willing to re-adjust to fit your needs. We will be there to capture everything that is possible within our reach and based on our testimonials- we promise not to disappoint. We also give our couples the option to pay extra by the hour, if they feel at the last minute that they need additional time with us.
